Interference with VHF radio 1 Year, 10 Months ago

I have recently fitted a new XRX into a C310 and coupled it to a Garmin 695 portable. The aircraft is also fitted with a Garmin 530W primary GPS sytem. When I use my local FIR control frequency of 120.0 on the Garmin 530W, I get interference from the XRX and have to switch it off. It appears to only happen with this frequency. Any solution?

Exactly what kind of interference are you experiencing? How often does this happen? Is there a specific frequency being interrupted?

Interfernce appears only to happen on my loacal FIS frequency of 120.0 and occurrs on both my King and Garmin VHF radio sets, it is continous and causes the audio signal to be distorted and largely unreadable

I have recently had a similar problem with my 2001 SkyhawkSP with Silver Crown Radios but it only occurs on takeoff. It is on 123.0. The noise is like a feedback open mike and goes away if I unplug the Zaon audio cable. The audio cord was replaced 1 year ago as the outside covering just began strangely peeling off. I am using this with a Control Vision Dex tablet that has no other issues. Any ideas other than sending the unit and cord back for inspection? I cannot use the audio component with this problem although it does speak out and identify traffic.
