If two external Antennas are installed with the MRX, do they both need to be level. I'm not sure about a flat surface on top of the aircraft?

Would just one on the underside of the small two seater metal aircraft work just as well?

The antennas need to be as level as possible (fore-aft as well as side-to-side) to conform to their polarization. In a small aircraft, however, one mounted to the bottom is almost always sufficient. The top eliminates any possibility of top shadowing, but in small air_frame_s this is negligable.
