I just started testing my new MRX in the comfort of my den, and my initial impression is that the alert is not all that loud, even when set to maximum. I'll be using the unit in a glider, and I do not believe the volume will be louder than my vario. Is there any adjustment other than the one using the right button. Although I don't mind the initial advisory to be softer than the vario, I'd like that second alert to be very loud, attention getting.

The audio output level cannot be adjusted beyond the digital.
You can add the audio output to a headset via the included headset splitter cable.

The audio out is a mini-stereo plug.

I heard the same that the audible tone is not loud enough to hear in an RV at cruise. But the display is bright enough to get your attention when it issues an alert.

I also had this problem. My problem is solved by add audio output to a headset via the included headset splitter cable. This post helps me in it.
