I recently purchased and XRX and have it integrated into my Garmin 696. I took my first flight with it today and did not have it configured exactly correctly. I set up the XRX to feed the Garmin and set the Garmin to receive TIS data, but forgot to adjust the Map settings to display TIS. I was flying the Hudson River Cooridor, so their was plenty of traffic receiving radar interrogation, but the only XRX data that I was receiving were traffic warnings.

Does the Garmin 696 range have to be set to less than 6 miles to display XRX data or will it display XRX data at any range setting? I know that the Garmin's Map display settings can be customized for specific ranges, but I am more curious just in general at what ranges does the XRX display.
