Is it OK to operate the MRX from aircraft power but with the AA batteries installed?

Yes. When the MRX power adaptor is plugged in, the battery power is simply disconnected internally. The batteries will not be harmed. Please note that there is no mechanism to recharge batteries on board MRX.

However, if you plan to use MRX for an extended period of time from aircraft power (and not from the batteries), please remove them as a precaution to avoid battery leakage).
