I note you have a bluetooth adaptor to send traffic info from XRX.
With the new bluetooth enabled headsets (eg Lightspeed Zulu,) could the XRX bluetooth be made to send the audio alert to the headset thus eliminating the wires that go to the headset plug?
For helicopter pilots the wires to get audio are a problem as our headset plugs are nowhere near the instrument panel (they are behind and above our head), thus long audio extension leads are run along floor - not ideal at all.

I know the original question is over a year old, but bluetooth audio dongles that plug into the OUT jack on the device and can feed things like the Zulus can be had for $30 or less (probably much less than Zaon could resell them) from online CellPhone houses.
