I doubt that this could possibly work. The reason I say that is that you must go into the software of the 696/695 (and I assume the 396 and 496) to select which data stream you want to use. There are 2 choices "Aviation In" or "TIS."

Thus, if you put on a A/B switch you would need to change the software every time you flipped the switch. What a pain! I think Garmin screwed this up in not having a separate channel to take in the TIS data.

Has anyone found a workable solution?
