When using your cable to connect the Zaon to the 496, do we still have access to the serial out connection from the 496 so we can use it for other devices?

While a dual connection is technically possible, our cable does not allow for an external access to the serial data. It was designed to be an easy-to-use plug-and-play cable specifically for the XRX and Garmin 396/496/495. This does not mean, however, that a cable couldn't be made. We sell the Garmin connector to bare wires, and the XRX power/data to bare wires connectors, which could be made into a cable to do as you suggest. The connections are 3-wire simple... power, shared ground, and data (RS232).

I have my GPS already conected to the EFIS, the Radio, and Intercom.

So I need the instructions to connect to the Zaon XRX. I mean the RS232 pin adresses.

1- I don't know why this information is not included in the instalation manual.

2- I don't know why Zaon don't answer this simple question!
