Hi Jason Yes - as a potential customer very interested in your product, I would like the reassurance that the issues have been resolved?

It depends on what you might consider "resolved". Mr. Young flies an SC7-3 Skyvan which is an aircraft a bit outside of our target passenger-GA market. We have quite a few Australian pilots who fly with PCAS regularly that report favorable results. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Any potential customer would do well to consider carefully the last response from Zaon on this matter.

Nearly a year has passed and Zaon have done nothing what so ever to address this apparent design fault in the MRX. Except to provide lip service and spin.

Instead they have tried to appease potential customers by stating that some how the size/shape of the aircraft in question is the reason why the MRX fails to work in accordance with the stated claims.

Potential customers may well wish to consider Zaon's claim of "First Class Support" as what I would consider a valid cause for concern with my unit has resulted in Zaon attempting to lock me out of this forum.

Incidentally the MRX still returns false alerts when operated at low level.

Regards
Mick

I am so frustrated by the constant false alarms. I use my unit in C172 and PA28, operating typically at 1500 AGL. On my last flight I had a constant series of warnings of imminent collision and ended up disconnecting the audio cable from my headset. Switching off my own transponder (illegal) solved the problem so I can only assume the unit was detecting my own signal - transponder in question is a TRIG unit.

I must say that the claim of zero false alarms is extremely optimistic.

G'day Peter,

You will probably here from Zaon on this one as it sounds like a classic case of dirty transponder antenna.

The attenuated signal tricks the MRX into thinking it is another transponder further away than the ships own unit.

Good luck
Mick
