In order for XRX to integrate with a Garmin 396 or 496, it must be updated to firmware version 2.0. This is a very simple process that we perform free of charge. The unit must be sent in, and we do this so that we can recalibrate the unit (if needed), and we will ship back the unit to you. Please contact us so that we can issue a RMA number (Returned Merchandise Authorization) and get this taken care of. Thank you.
