Zaon integrated with FlightPrep ChartBook EFB Print E-mail
ChartBook_big.jpgFlight Prep announced the integration of Zaon Flight System’s PCASTM XRXTM for their ChartBook Electronic Flight Bag (EFB). PCAS (Portable Collision Avoidance System) is Zaon's solution for providing high-quality, low-cost traffic information to the general aviation pilot. “We are pleased to partner with an outstanding system,” states Zane Hovey, Chief Engineer and Owner of Zaon Flight Systems. A simple hookup of the PCAS XRX directly to the ChartBook system provides traffic alerts and the reliability and accuracy of XRX overlayed directly onto the GPS screen. The FlightPrep ChartBook AND the Zaon XRX are a great pair because of the affordability, reliability and quality and easr of the integration. A key benefit of the technology used by Zaon’s XRX is that it can provide traffic information via FlightPrep’s display anywhere in the world since it uses transponder replies (like TCAS) to determine azimuth and relative altitude.
