XRX Traffic on Your System

Introducing a simple way to get traffic on your moving map display. A simple hookup to your PCAS™ XRX™ directly to your system and you’re off and running. Traffic alerts, popups, voice alerts, the reliability and accuracy of XRX overlayed right onto the screen of an old friend.

Whether you already have a moving map system and you want to add traffic to see what you've been missing, or you have an XRX and you're considering integrating the traffic into a new system, we've presented a complete guide to available systems and options.

Must-Read Information

Please read these important general integration notes here, as well as the model-specific notes to help you get the best performance from your XRX investment.

  • XRX will not detect all aircraft. Some aircraft may not have transponders, or may have transponders which fail basic TSO standards for center frequency, pulse widths, or other factors.  Typically 90% of aircraft equipped with transponders operate within standards.
  • XRX azimuth resolution is 45 degrees. While the intruder is shown at a particular point on the map, this resolution is intended to give an estimate. For example, an intruder at 45° degrees could be between 20° and 70°
  • Proper placement of your XRX plays a vital role in the accuracy and detection of other aircraft. Avoid placing XRX close (within 6 inches) to any metallic objects and/or centerline windshield structures.
  • You must orient the XRX so that the LCD screen faces the aft of your aircraft for proper orientation of intruders.
  • XRX may have aft detection limitations. While XRX performs many complex calculations to correct for signal ambiguity within the cockpit, some aircraft have inherent limitations. Please see our website for a complete profile list of various aircraft types to identify any limitations.
  • XRX compass should be recalibrated if you move to a different aircraft.
  • Placement of your XRX is critical to achieving maximum performance!
