Increase your Traffic IQ

With the Zaon XRX attached to a device running PocketFMS, other traffic in your vicinity is depicted as red aircraft on the Moving Map screens. Alongside each contact, the relative altitude and distance are displayed. An arrow indicates the traffic's trend: climbing or descending.

You can control your Zaon XRX from within PocketFMS; Range, Altitude, Plane type, Sound on/off can all be set without even touching your XRX.

Wireless Simplicity

To make hookup as painless as possible, a Bluetooth module is available from Zaon that sends XRX information wirelessly to any Bluetooth-enabled device, including Pocket PCs and Tablets.

Alternately, a connection can be made via a serial-to-USB cable, or a standard serial cable, depending on the particular platform on which the PocketFMS software is being used.

Requirements

These minimum requirements are needed to show traffic:

  • XRX with any version of firmware
  • PocketFMS v0.9.68 or higher on a compatible Pocket PC, Windows Mobile cell-phone, Tablet PC, UMPC, notebook, or car-nav system
  • Zaon Bluetooth module or appropriate cable
NOTE: Most PDAs can only support two Bluetooth links simultaneously. Therefore if your GPS is wired and your XM unit is Bluetooth, then you can purchase the Zaon Bluetooth module. However, if your GPS and XM unit are both Bluetooth, you must use a serial or serial-to-USB cable (for Tablets).
